Setup AWS Cloud9

Create a Cloud9 Environment This creates an IDE for you, letting you edit files and execute shell commands.

From the AWS management console, search for Cloud9

Then select ‘create environment’

Give it a name (e.g. AWS Lab) – then select ‘next step’

Keep the default values and select ‘next step’

Finally select ‘create environment’

After a couple of minutes you should have a Cloud9 environment available. You can use that to enter the ‘terminal’ commands within the lab guide. This is highlighted below.

If you encounter the following error ‘The security token included in the request is expired’ just close the Cloud9 browser tab and launch it again. If error persists try to reset the AWS credentials by running ‘aws configure’!
